Sauerkraut with Potatoes

Sauerkraut with Potatoes is a Dutch food recipe baked and layered with bacon and sausage.
Ingredients
  • 1 Sausage, sliced
  • 100 g Bacon
  • 500 g Sauerkraut
  • 1 dl White wine
  • 1 spoon Mixed herbs
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of pepper
  • Mashed potatoes
  • French mustard
Instructions
  1. Drain the sauerkraut then cook it in a pan with white wine, fresh herbs, salt and pepper to boil. Let it simmer about 10 minutes.
  2. Preheat the oven to 180C.
  3. Mix mashed potatoes with French mustard to your liking.
  4. Put the sauerkraut into an oven dish and cover with sausage slices. Spoon the mashed potatoes over and cover the casserole with the bacon slices.
  5. Bake for about 35 minutes.
